Palmistry as a means of predicting the future

While it is not clear where palmistry originated it seems to have gone in and out of fashion and esteem. It is highly likely that this practice originated in the East and then spread to the West. While there are various approaches to hand reading,  for the most part,  the left hand seems to reflect your potential from birth and your right hand is more about where you are now and your future potential.
