Precious Stones: the Sapphire

A personal favorite of mine; as a Virgo it is my birthstone and as the sapphire is associated with Mercury it also applies to Gemini, as well as with Venus and her sign of Taurus making it the true stone of friendship and love.

While the sapphire is generally thought of as blue it can also be found in white, green, yellow, violet and black.

The sapphire brings peace of mind and creates balance in the body. It is also a spiritual stone, bringing balance to the chakras, increases one's intuitive abilities, and helps with decision making.
