Sturgeon Full Moon
The Full Moon in August was called the Sturgeon Moon by the Native American tribes living in the area of the Great Lakes along the US - Canada border. These indigenous people relied on the sturgeon as a source of food and found this to be the easiest time of the year to find them in abundance.
This Full Moon of August 2024 is almost a Supermoon as it falls within the day or two that the moon is closest to the Earth. Spiritually speaking, the Sturgeon Full Moon is about strength and perseverence. Keeping in mind that the Moon represents the physical as well as the emotional body, the time of the full Moon is a time to be receptive and take the light and awareness of spirit into your emotional and physical body.
